You see it at Wal-Mart and other stores.  You hear about it on the radio.  Some celebrities say they are using it and seeing results.  You see it on television.  Is the Alli Diet Plan and it’s ability to make you lose weight fact or fiction?

 

It appears that some people do see results over a few weeks or a couple months.  However, most weight loss is not noted at much more than six pounds by consumers.  Even if you simply increase your physical activity and cut down on how much you eat, you could easily lose six pounds in a month or so without needing to spend any money on diet pills. 

 

Alli has gained a great deal of attention because it is FDA approved.  As you probably know, other non prescription diet pills are not approved or regulated in any way by the FDA.  This is not to say that the Alli Diet pills are completely side effect free.  No serious side effects have been listed regularly.  However, there are a couple effects of this pill that are present for a majority of users. 

 

People who use Alli diet pills appear to have some difficulty with diarrhea.  This side effect can be so bad that the manufacturer even warns people to have extra clothes on hand when away from home.  So in that sense the effects are serious. 

 

Alli is set to work by absorbing fat as a result of the main ingredient.  Alli works like some prescription diet pills but at a less aggressive level.  Alli can aid your body in not storing fat, unfortunately it does not differentiate between healthy fats and bad fat.  And even with the fat blocking power, you are told to reduce your intake of fat.  This is something you can do on your own without diet pills.

 

The Alli diet is probably not the dieting miracle that some people might think.  You might lose a few pounds here and there.  However, you can lose weight on your own by cutting down on the grams of fat you include in your diet and by being physically active
